It has been a while since I wrote a blog post. Reality has been strange this year, and in general the last couple of years. I keep waiting to wake up from a dream.
Speaking of dreams, I attended the dream wedding of Alexis and Aaron on Saturday evening. It was lovely. And fun. And sweet. And meaningful. I cried from the moment I saw Alexis in her ivory lace dress to the end of their first dance.
Before I went away to Fiji and Hong Kong, I made a custom wedding card. I used their RSVP card so that they would always have one from their invitations.
I was able to match some old Stampin Up Pistachio Pudding cardstock to the green from the invitation and used an old embossing folder to create the “celebrate” sentiment. Basic Black and Very Vanilla cardstock punched out using circle dies and two types of Very Vanilla ribbon made up the rest.
First, I glued the circles together. Then I taped the ribbon to the RSVP card and then glued the whole thing down to the card base.
A lot of dimensionals to raise the circles off the card base and one tasteful embellishment later…
Voila! Finished custom wedding card!
I hope I can get my act together to create an anniversary card from the invitation next year. Fingers crossed!
